We collect the following categories of information when you look up, book, transfer, or cancel a training session, or participate in a live course:

• Identity and Contact Data: Full name, email address, and any professional affiliation or job title you choose to provide. Your email address is also the identifier used to look up, transfer, or cancel an existing booking — WarthogIS does not use separate usernames or passwords for this.
• Payment Information: Transactional data required to process tuition, including the amount charged and a reference to the payment method used. Card numbers are never stored by WarthogIS — all payments are processed directly through Stripe, our PCI-compliant payment processor.
• Booking and Scheduling Data: Course selections, session dates and times, and booking history, managed through Acuity Scheduling on our behalf.
• Live Session Interactions: Video, audio, and chat interactions that occur during live instructor-led sessions, facilitated through our third-party video conferencing platform. WarthogIS does not independently record or retain live session video or audio beyond what our video platform provider retains under its own policies.
• Technical Data: Basic information such as IP address and browser type, collected for site functionality and security. If WarthogIS adopts cookies, analytics, or similar tracking technologies in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly before those technologies are used.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

• Process course bookings, transfers, and cancellations, and provision access to live training sessions
• Process billing transactions and prevent fraudulent activity
• Send booking, transfer, and cancellation confirmation emails
• Provide technical support and improve our GIS training curriculum
• Notify you when a course becomes available, if you've submitted a notify-me request

3. GIS Data and Location Privacy Guardrails

Given the nature of GIS training, the following rules apply specifically to your coursework data:

• Student Intellectual Property: Any proprietary maps, coordinate frameworks, or geospatial datasets you volunteer for review during training remain entirely your intellectual property. WarthogIS does not claim ownership of, or rights to use, your practical training data for commercial purposes.
• Data Recommendations: To minimize privacy and data-compliance risk, we strongly recommend using public-domain or simulated datasets for classroom exercises rather than sensitive or proprietary organizational data.

4. Third-Party Data Sharing

WarthogIS does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share data only with the trusted service providers necessary to operate our training business, including:

• Stripe — our payment processor, used to securely capture and process tuition payments
• Acuity Scheduling — our scheduling platform, used to manage course sessions and bookings
• Our live video conferencing platform — used to host and stream live virtual classroom sessions
• GIS software vendors — providers of the mapping or cloud-computing infrastructure used for coursework licenses, where applicable

5. Testimonials and Reviews

From time to time, WarthogIS may display student feedback, reviews, or success stories to showcase course outcomes. The following terms apply to any testimonial you choose to submit:

• Consent Required: We do not publish any testimonial, quote, name, or professional title publicly without your clear, affirmative consent at the time it is submitted.
• Scope of Use: If you consent to public use, you grant WarthogIS a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your quote and the attribution details you approve (such as your first name and general professional title) on our website and marketing materials.
• Revocation: You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. We will remove any published testimonial within a reasonable business timeframe.

6. Your Rights and Compliance

Depending on your location, you may have legal rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access to, correction of, transfer of, or deletion of your data.
